The challenge today was to paint icicles. I used a French Ultramarine/Cobalt Blue/Prussian Green blend to create a cold blue background. Masked the icicles to do the background wash. A Burnt Sienna French Ultramarine blend created shadows. A bit of Hansa yellow to create a point of interest with the sun buried under clouds in the distance.
